Rock Climbing on Cayman Brac
The jagged cliffs at the eastern end of the bluff offer some of the world’s most exciting rock climbing with incredible views out to sea. With over 75 routes to choose from, you could spend all day just planning your Brac climbing adventure! Mainly for experienced climbers, the majority of routes have been graded at 5.10 to 5.12 using the Yosemite Decimal System. In addition, there are a few graded at 5.7 – 5.9.
Expert climber Skip Harper and fellow climbing enthusiasts have popularized this sport on Cayman Brac. According to Skip, climbing on the Brac is among the best in the world. His passion for the island inspired him to write a book, “Adventuring in Cayman Brac,” that details everything you need to know about climbing on the Brac.
Climbing enthusiasts can now experience the Brac cliffs with Rock Iguana Ltd., a climbing guide company now established on Cayman Brac.

Safety Considerations
To ensure climbers’ safety when exploring all the nooks and crannies on the Bluff, almost all of the climbing bolts on the island have been replaced with Titanium Tortuga Bolts. The bolts allow more freedom to scale the remarkable limestone formation that dominates the island.
